See the Mastodon post announcing this entry.  Copies of this report were downloaded from valerie.vg, peaktrans.org, wingsoverscotland.com, and cis.fm. The SHA256 hashes of these four files were compared, confirming the files to be identical. The file was then uploaded to VirusTotal; it was first submitted on 12 July 2026, two days after the real report was published. The final piece of evidence is the metadata. The metadata can easily be forged, so this is far from foolproof. However, the metadata lists correct author and a creation date of 7 July, three days prior to the release of the legitimate report. Therefore, this is likely to be legitimate, though I can not confirm for certain.
